October 2019: We supported Stepping Stone House in their annual www.sleepunderthestars.com.au  event, which raises money for safety, education and care for vulnerable young people aged 12–24.  It’s a wonderful charity, run by a friend of 2020 Fire Protection, and your support would be appreciated too!

October 2019: We entered in the Sydney-Gong ride supporting MS.

 

 

July 2019: We supported the Cerebral Palsy Alliance through Para Mobility in the City to Surf.  The more people that know about Cerebral Palsy Alliance, the greater their impact, so please spread the word. The money raised will help reduce waiting times by helping Cerebral Palsy Alliance purchase life-changing equipment – transforming the lives of kids and adults living with cerebral palsy, and their families, who will no longer have to wait many months for vital equipment they need right now.

 

 

May 2019: We supported the Mother’s Day Classic Foundation. The Mother’s Day Classic is an annual fun run and walk raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research which brings the community together on Mother’s Day to support and remember those touched by breast cancer. All proceeds from the MDC Foundation Ltd are donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that supports research into breast cancer prevention and treatment. Since 1998 the Mother’s Day Classic has raised $30.4 million dollars. 

 

 

May 2019: We supported Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. 1 in 2 Australians are diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85. Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is the easiest way to bring people together to raise funds that will make a big difference to those impacted by cancer.  Find out more about Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.

 

 

February 2019: We supported MB Brissie to the Bay. The MS Brissie to the Bay bike ride exists to raise funds to support the increasing number of people living with multiple sclerosis (MS), which affects more young people than any other acquired chronic neurological disease.  Find out more about Brissie to the Bay.

 

 

September 2018: We supported The Cerebral Palsy Alliance through September. Get on board their next event with thousands of people around the world as you take on the challenge to move 10,000 steps a day or equivalent for 28 days. You’ll get fitter, sleep better and feel great. Then, turn your steps into dollars by getting friends and family to donate to you, raising funds towards supporting kids and adults with cerebral palsy.

 

 

September 2018: We supported Ride 4 The Chopper. The Alive and Well  Ride for the Chopper is an annual 7 day fundraising charity mountain bike ride for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. 2018 was the 18th year that the ride has been undertaken and will the first time to the world famous Hunter Valley.

 

 

May 2018: We supported Running for Premature Babies. RFPB was set up in 2007 by Sophie Smith after she and husband Ash lost their first-born triplet sons. Since then, thousands have run to support the  Royal Hospital for Women’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), raising more than $2.5 million.

 

 

April & February 2018: We supported Chloe Saxby and Vanishing White Matter Disease. Vanishing White Matter Disease (VWM) is an extremely rare, genetic, degenerative, terminal brain disease that affects mostly children. This disease is devastating, with most patients diagnosed between the ages of 2 and 6 years old.

 

April 2018: We supported Vision Australia. Vision Australia is a leading national provider of blindness and low vision services in Australia. They work in partnership with Australians who are blind or have low vision to help them achieve the possibilities they choose in life.

 

 

March 2018: We supported The Cerebral Palsy Alliance which has been operating for over 70 years. The organisation was developed by a group of parents of children with cerebral palsy, and was originally known as the Spastic Centre. Led by Neil and Audrie McLeod, whose daughter Jennifer had cerebral palsy, these parents built a brighter future for people with cerebral palsy worldwide.

 

 

March 2018: We supported the the Mothers Day Classic. The Mother’s Day Classic is an annual fun run and walk raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research. The aim is to deliver a fun, healthy and inspirational community event that brings the community together on Mother’s Day to support and remember those touched by breast cancer.

 

 

January 2018: We supported Tour De Cure. Cancer is a tough enemy. But it’s even worse when it’s one of our loved ones who is facing this terrible disease. Tour De Cure raise vital funds to support the doctors and scientists who have dedicated their lives to uncovering a cure.

 

 

January 2018: We supported the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. Did you know that every 15 hours an Australian child is born with Cerebral Palsy? It affects people in different ways and can affect body movement, muscle control, muscle coordination, muscle tone, reflex, posture and balance.  Donations go towards equipment like standing frames and  wheelchairs.  To get involved visit the Cerebral Palsy Alliance website.

 

 

December 2017: We supported Brain Injury Australia. Brain injury is common. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, over 700,000 Australians have a brain injury, with daily “activity limitations” and “participation restrictions”. Three in every four of these people are aged 65 or under. As many as two out of every three acquired their brain injury before the age of 25. Three-quarters of people with a brain injury are men.

September 2017: We supported the Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation. The AMDF was founded as a not for profit organisation in 2009 by Doug and Margie Lingard, their friends, and experts in the field of mitochondrial disease (mito). Doug and Margie tragically lost their son to mito, and their daughter, Rose, passed away from mito in 2017.

 

 

August 2017: We supported MS Australia. MS affects over 25,000 in Australia and more than two million diagnosed worldwide. Most people are diagnosed between the ages of 20-40, but it can affect younger and older people too. Roughly three times as many women have MS as men.

 

August 2017: We supported Cancer Council’s Wollongong (Illawarra) 2017 Relay For Life! . Relay For Life is a fun and moving overnight experience, and each and every donation helps to fund the Cancer Council’s vital research, prevention and support services.  Each year, thousands of Australians take to the track in the name of Relay For Life.

 

August 2017: We supported the Luke Batty Foundation. Many of you will have heard Rosie Batty’s story. Last year her son Luke was murdered by his own father at cricket practice. Funds raised will be used to reduce family violence in our communities through education programs, public awareness campaigns and by changing attitudes and challenging existing beliefs.

 

May 2017: We supported John and Debi’s attempt to complete 100 iron distance triathlons and 100 half iron distance triathlons in 100 days which is an amazing feat by some very inspiring people. All for a great cause – The Australian Red Cross.

 

Nov 2016: We supported our very own Klarissa Broadhead who is running for premature babies in the Royal Hospital for Women New York Marathon.

 

March 2016: We supported the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. A child is born with cerebral palsy in Australia every 15 hours and the need for equipment only increases throughout a child’s life. We believe that children with cerebral palsy should not have to wait for vital equipment. Find out more about the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

 

August 2015: We supported one of our strata customers teams in the Oxfam Trail Walk.  View more about the Strata Striders.

 

May 2015: We supported the Oxfam Australia’s Nepal Earthquake Emergency Appeal. Oxfam is providing lifesaving essentials such as clean water, hygiene kits and emergency food supplies to those affected by the earthquake.

 

March 2015: We supported the recovery effort in Vanuatu

March 2014 – We supported  Camp Quality who reach out to over 3,500 families struggling with everyday life after their child has been diagnosed with cancer. It’s a great achievement but it’s only 1 in 3 families, so that means 7,000 families are going it alone.  To find out how you can support as well please visit their website.

December 2013: We supported the Ride to Cure Diabetes.  Over 122,300 Australians have T1D, an autoimmune disease that usually arises in childhood, lasts a lifetime and destroys the ability to produce insulin, which is vital for life. There is no cure – yet. Funds raised at the Ride to Cure Diabetes will make a serious impact on JDRF’s research to cure, treat and prevent T1D. JDRF is currently supporting up to 40 Australian T1D research projects, with dozens more that they would like to support.  Find out more about The Ride to Cure Diabetes and how you can help.

 

September 2013: We supported a friend of the business who is undertaking a 700km push-bike ride to raise funds for Rocket, a not-for-profit organisation that administers world-class behavioural interventions to children with autism and other developmental delays.  The fund-raising site is the Rocket Ride.  Rocket has made a huge difference to the life of our friend’s child & we hope you can support it too.

 

January 2013: We supported a friend who is fund-raising for  the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation  – a great cause!

December 2012: We supported the Heart Foundation.

 

November 2012: We supported a client in their Movember campaign.  The outcome was awful, but the cause was great!

 

November 2012: We supported a client in the Gong Ride who in turn supported people coping with Multiple Sclerosis.

 

August 2012: We supported a client in the ‘Healing Riders’ team of the ‘Rundraising Conquer Cancer’ campaign.

 

June 2012: We supported a friend of 20/20 Fire’s team running in the Half Marathon for Cantoo.

 

January – May 2012:  We contributed regularly to The Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation.

 

November 2011: We contributed to the creation of a terrible ‘Mo’ for Movember.

 

November 2011:  We supported to a friend of 20/20 Fire Protection who’s running in the Foxtel Lap for the supporting the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute

August 2011: We supported one of our energetic staff in the Sun Herald City to Surf.

 

May 2011: We donated to a client’s Oxfam Trail Walker team.

 

April 2011: We attended & supported the Heidi Edwards Family Fund Dinner.  A beautiful family- well worth supporting!

 

March 2011: We supported some clients in World’s Greatest Shave.  An amazing cause & well worth supporting as results are not going to be pretty!

 

February 2011: We supported our staff in FebFast again this year. A great cause & a healthy alternative too!

 

 

January 2011: We contributed to the Queensland Premier’s Flood Disaster Relief Appeal& we hope you are too.  Scary to see the destruction & hoping to see it recede so the recovery can get underway.

 

August 2010: We contributed to teams running in the Sun Herald City to Surf & a team running in the Half Marathon for Cantoo

 

July 2010: We supported the Dragons ABreast team through everyday hero in their support of Breast Cancer research.

 

June 2010: For the 2nd year running, our staff supported the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation Gold Week event by hosting a charity lunch.  Our fund-raising page raised over $2,000 for the Sydney Childrens Hospital.  The attendees also had a fantastic day out!

 

 

May 2010: Two of our staff ran the Sydney Morning Herald Half-Marathon in support of the Henry, Jasper and Evan Smith cause which contributes all money raised to The Royal Hospital for Women Foundation.  Our staff raised over $2,000 for this cause & the team of 200+ we ran with raised over $80,000. A fantastic outcome!

 

February 2010: We supported our staff in FebFast which contributes to reducing the impact of alcohol and other drugs on young Australians.
